Service

"Service makes the world a better place."

As one of the three tenets, service is a fundamental element of Circle K International. Collectively, Circle K members perform more than one million hours of service on their campuses and in their communities annually. Through service, college students are making the world a better place one service project at a time.

District Service Initiatives

DSI

Each year, the Cal-Nev-Ha District of Circle K adopts and works toward a new District Service Initiative (DSI). This new service initiative provides a focus for the service that we do. During the term, members from throughout the district collaborate to achieve and bring the goals of this new cause to life. In years past, our DSIs have ranged from Anti-Bullying, Leap Towards Literacy, Hope for the Homeless, Serve to Conserve: Planet Conservation, and Focusing on Education. We have one rotating DSI and two permanent DSIs: 1) Community Wellness and Equity and 2) Serving our Environment.

Our rotating District Service Initiative for the 2022-2023 term is Youth Development. Healthy development in the early years provides the building blocks for educational achievement, economic productivity, responsible citizenship, lifelong health, strong communities, and successful parenting of the next generation. In addition, this means that children of all abilities, including those with special health care needs, are able to grow up where their social, emotional and educational needs are met.
